Do You Test Positive For Opiates If You Add Suboxone To Clean Urine?

NO! Suboxone is not an opiate, it's an opiate blocker. The only things that will show up as opiates are opiates (lorcet, lortab, percocet, etc..) that are INGESTED, not just added to clean urine. I work at a clinic that frequently tests patient's urine for drugs. If you add something to the urine, the nurse will figure it out. Don't try to cheat the system. And by the way..if you are supposed to be on opiates, why do you have access to suboxone?

You can't do it that way Jamierma because the suboxone tests are not for suboxone itself, but for its metabolites in the urine.   Go to NAABT.org and find another doc who can prescribe your suboxone. They have a patient/physician matching system and a list of all the docs licensed to prescribe suboxone. You don't need that control freak of a doctor, although if you can't refrain from drinking for 24 hrs before a pee test, maybe you should get help for that too.

Probably the same reason I have this question:  We don't want to test positive for weed or something like that, but if we use a clean or synthetic urine sample, and it doesn't have suboxone in it, we're worried we'll get in trouble.  In other words, I'm supposed to be on suboxone (I am on it) and my suboxone doctor wont treat me if I test positive for other drugs.. Even alcohol.  He's a jerk who's holding me hostage.  Says he'll stop treating me and make me go cold turkey off suboxone if I use anything ANYTHING!  Not fair, as I wanted treatment for opiate dependence, not alcohol.

Your Dr is in the right-not you. Claiming it's "not fair" is ridiculous. In order to get a prescribing license  for Suboxone, the Doctor has to abide by the RULES!!!  You cannot be on any mind/mood altering drugs in order to be placed on Suboxone-it's NOT A CHOICE!!! If you're an opiate junkie, you are also an alcoholic-Day 1 in any recovery or treatment program, you would have learned this-Seems you're just another whining junkie who wants it's cake & eat it too. I've been on suboxone for several years after using opiates for decades-it's saved my life & the last thing we need is people who scam to ruin it for the rest of us who want to stay clean & sober-moron!!
