The answer to the question how long can concerta stay in your urine for is anything up to 7 days. It stays in your system for approximately 12 hours but can be detected in your urine anything up to a week.

  • Concerta
Concerta is a drug usually associate with people who suffer from ADHD and is a form of Ritalin to help calm them down. However, Concerta can also and is often abused as if taken in higher quantities can make the user high and extra hyperactive. But, if used properly, after the first day or so it helps the person with ADHD or similar syndrome to focus which especially helps with work, school or college.

  • Overdoses
If you or someone you know regularly overdoses on Concerta this can lead to serious complications including the rare condition, serotonin syndrome. It is prescribed drug so it is legal but definitely not recommended to take over the suggested dosage each day as it can cause severe even fatal side effects just like any drug that gives you a high does.

If you think you have taken too much concerta and are worried it is always recommended to seek advice from your doctor or gp as it could be very dangerous.

Do you know this for sure? Is the drug staying in hair for 90 days accurate? Sorry i know this is a year late, I just haven't told my school about my prescription yet, and they take the random drug testing very seriously. I will tell them, I would just like to know if that information is accurate, and where you retrieved it from.

Thanks.

As with all Amphetamine based drugs they have a 72 hour half life after last dosage administration.  You will then have clean urine after 3 days. Good Luck :)

Following oral administration of methylphenidate, 78 to 97% of the dose is excreted in the urine and 1 to 3% in the feces in the form of metabolites within 48 to 96 hours. The main urinary metabolite is ritalinic acid (alpha-phenyl-2-piperidine acetic acid, PPAA); unchanged methylphenidate is excreted in the urine in small quantities (
