The drug hydrocodone, which is contained in Lortab, Vicodin, Lorcet, Norco, Vicoprofen, Dilles, Vikes and numerous other medications can stay in your urine for up to six days.

Hydrocodone will stay in your saliva for one to ten days, and has the potential to stay in your hair follicles for up to three months.

How long can Lortab be detected in urine?
Lortab can be detected in a urine screening because it is an opioid, one of the substances which are searched for in a standard ten panel screening.

The ten substances which are tested for are as follows:

  • Amphetamines (which includes Methamphetamine).
  • Barbiturates.
  • Benzodiazepines.
  • Cannabinoids (such as the active ingredient in marijuana, THC)
  • Cocaine.
  • Methadone.
  • Methaqualone.
  • Opiates (Codeine, Morphine, Heroin, Oxycodone, Vicodin and Lortab!).
  • Phencyclidine (normally known as PCP).
  • Propoxyphene.
Lortab is an opiate and therefore may cause a false positive result on a drug screening - so, if you have been prescribed that, then it would be advisable to take your prescription form and a letter from your doctor to a drug screening.

Give these to the technician, who will be able to take into the account the hydrocodone in your body.
