  • Does Oxycodone show up in drug screening tests?
Depending on the amount taken, traces of Oxycodone can stay in the body for as little as three days or as much as three weeks. The likelihood of this drug appearing on a drug screening test will largely depend on what type of test you are taking and how sensitive the test is. Some modern drug screening tests are so sensitive that they can pick up traces of drugs taken up to three weeks previously. It is far more likely that a blood test will pick up traces of the drug than urine tests as blood tests tend to be more sensitive in picking up chemicals related to drugs.

  • What is OxyContin
OxyContin is a brand name for the drug Oxycodone. Oxycodone is used as a pain relief medicine for very severe pain. It is in the same drug group as morphine, heroin and codeine. This group of drugs are referred to as opioids. The drug comes in tablet or pill form and is used for many types of moderate to severe pain relief, including treatment for the pain caused by cancers.

  • Warning
This is an extremely strong, prescription pain relief drug and should not be taken recreationally or unless advised to do so by a doctor or medical professional. The use of the drug can be potentially harmful to your body and its use should only be under a doctor's guidance only. Side effects can include fatigue, memory loss and euphoria. High doses or overdoses can cause respiratory and heart problems and even death. The drug is highly addictive, in the same way that heroin is, and is not advisable to even try unless prescribed.

It depends on how long after you took it, it takes aprox 72 hours for it to be out of your system.

definitely- the most popular drug abuse now is people buying prescription drugs on the street- that's a fact- so it is definitely tested for- my doc assured me of that. But it's only there for a couple of days in your blood and urine. The bad thing is people with scripts and doctor consent are even required by employers to not use even prescribed medications- even Burger King- made me sign a form to that effect- I signed it- but I need my pills to work with the back pain- or I can't work more than 2 hours- I always detox myself when going in for a drug test for a job- because back problems is a liability and so is being on heavy medications when others don't understand what you can handle
