Can I Have A False Positive Pcp While Taking Tramadol?

YES!!!!! I have been taking tramadol regularly for 5 years with great results. Recently I had a seizure and was rushed to the emergency room and had every test known to man run  with the results of "PCP" in my system.  I have never and will never use illegal drugs. After much investigation, it was discovered that the only drug I actually had in my system was tramadol, but was reading as PCP! Tramadol users BEWARE!

Thank you all Very interesting.  I too, recently went into a Detox center to detox from Tramodol use for the past 13 months taking a minimum of 16 pills daily.  And I too was taken in a room by myself with the Dr. And the Dr. Asked have you used any PCP? I was shocked because I was definitely addicted to the Tramodol however I have never and pray I will never used any street drugs.  I haven't even ever smoked a cigarette.  So I am here researching whether my higher levels and exteneded use of the the Tramodol had anything to do with this false positive I recieved for PCP use?

Same thing happened to me last week. I had a seizure and then was told I tested positive for PCP- but I never took PCP knowingly or experienced a PCP high. I've been taking Tramadol for six months.
