Despite the claims made by the company who manufacture synthetic 5, there is no scientific evidence which backs up their claims that it can be used to fool a urine test.

Modern urine tests can detect masking agents and even synthetic substitues for urine, such as synthetic 5.

Synthetic 5
The standard ten panel urine screenings which synthetic 5 claims to fool look for the following substances in a sample;

  • Amphetamines (including methamphetamine)
  • Barbiturates.
  • Benzodiazepines.
  • Cannabinoids (such as the active ingredient found within marijuana, THC).
  • Cocaine.
  • Methadone.
  • Methaqualone.
  • Opiates (such as codeine, morphine, heroin, oxycodone, vicodin).
  • Phencyclidine (known as PCP).
  • Propoxyphene.
Urine testing has become the most popular method of drug testing a subject. This is because it is simpler than other tests, is cheaper and very reliable.

Some prescription medications may accidentally cause a positive result on a urine test, because they may be molecularly-similar to any of the tested-for substances.
If you are taking prescription medication, then you should always notify the test technician before your test.
