Oxycodone is an opium-based semi-synthetic drug used in the treatment of pain. It can be very addictive and many people today have problems kicking this drug habit. If you are scheduled for a drug test, it will show up unless you have been off the drug for an extended period of time. Oxycontin is the brand name of Oxycodone that is marketed in the United States, and so Oxycontin and Oxycodone is the same thing, with a different name.

Oxycodone comes as an oral medication that is prescribed by a doctor for the relief of moderate to severe pain and it is available in a number of brand names. It can help to improve the quality of life for people who have chronic pain. The drawback is that the drug does have a number of side effects.

Some users of the drug experience effects such as euphoria and short-term memory loss. Some of the side effects of taking Oxycodone are loss of appetite, diarrhea, fatigue, dizziness, hiccups, and nervousness. Long-term addiction to the drug can result in respiratory arrest and even death in some cases.

If you are facing a drug test as a result of a possible employment opportunity or because of a court order, the only certain way for you to pass your drug test is to quit taking the drug at least one month before you know the test is scheduled. There are also serious legal ramifications if you are caught with the drug and do not have a prescription for it. Fines and jail time can be assessed in most states if you are caught with this drug and are not taking it under the care of a doctor. You should never, ever take this drug without the specific directions of a practicing medical professional and never take it without following the specific instructions of your physician.

No, it doesn't.. You will test positive for oxycodone, but you will also test positive for morphine.. I am a patient at a pain clinic and I know EXACTLY what the difference is between the results in the tests.
